The Mbanga licence was granted in 2008 . The licence is situated in Littoral province of west Cameroon approximately 35km from the Atlantic coast, where the climate is tropical. The area has been previously explored by the Bureau de recherches géologiques et minières (BRGM, 1969-1970) and deemed prospective for the formation of Uranium deposits. The license target Sediment hosted and unconformity U4+ pitchblende and coffinite in a Cretaceous basin which includes the Cross River conglomeratic sandstones, a formation with recorded U occurrences.
